Job Description

The Supreme Court of Nevada, Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), is seeking a Court Data Officer 1 to support the Nevada Judiciary’s efforts to ensure court data is accurate, consistent, reliable, and meaningful.

This position plays an important role in the quality control and validation of statewide court data. The Court Data Officer 1 reviews data from the Data Warehouse and other approved sources to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, missing or duplicate records, mapping issues, and other data-quality concerns. Working closely with court personnel and AOC subject matter experts, the position helps investigate discrepancies, determine their source, document findings, and support appropriate resolution.

In addition to data-quality activities, the Court Data Officer 1 assists with reporting, analysis, testing, documentation, and other data-management initiatives. The position will develop and perform repeatable quality-control checks, reconcile information across data sources, validate reports and dashboards, maintain quality-control documentation, and help ensure statewide reporting aligns with established data definitions, business rules, and reporting standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented professional who enjoys investigating discrepancies, identifying patterns, working collaboratively to solve problems, and improving the reliability of information used for statewide reporting and decision-making.

This position requires travel to various court locations throughout Nevada and occasional travel outside of Nevada. Occasional overtime and work on holidays, nights, and/or weekends may be required.

This position can be located in Carson City or Las Vegas. After an initial training period, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, caseload reporting, and other data products.
  • Provide technical assistance and data-literacy support to court and AOC staff, including explaining data definitions, measures, reports, dashboards, and known limitations.
  • Respond to data and statistical requests and provide guidance regarding available data, appropriate measures, and interpretation of statistical information.
  • Collaborate with Justices and Judges, court personnel, AOC staff, technical teams, and external partners on assigned data initiatives.
  • Protect confidential, restricted, and sensitive court information and comply with judiciary policies governing data access and use.
