Position Summary:
Supports the prosthetics department in applying Porcelain to Full Contour restorations, assisting with Green state zirconia work, loading sintering ovens and curing ovens, pre-sintered staining, and applying external stain and glaze. Works under the guidance of senior staff to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
Essential Functions and Duties:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Work from customer models and interpret specifications to deliver the best custom device and finished product for that application
• Inspect parts as they are produced including microscopic inspection
• Ensure finished goods quality is appropriate to requirements
• Carefully handle and process of customer property and finished goods to avoid damage
• Maintain close verbal and written communication with customers throughout the order process
• Strictly adhere to documented processes and procedures
• Follow safety rules and maintains personal safety and the safety of others
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Record and report information accurately as required
• Perform job duties in compliance with work instructions
• Adhere to all company policies, work rules and the Straumann Code of Conduct

Physical Attributes:
• Observe and hear warning signs and signals within all areas of the company
• Stand, Walk, or Sit up to 8 hours a day (with periodic breaks allowed)
• Wear synthetic gloves for hygiene
• Wear protective eye
• Wear protective hearing
Work Environment:
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment
• The employee may occasionally be exposed to dust
• The noise level in the work environment is consistently moderate
• The employee will work in a fast-paced, team environment
• May be exposed to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools

• Moderate lifting
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ years of hands-on experience full contour in a dental laboratory
• 1+ years of Case management experience
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows
• Effective communication skills including verbal and written
• Time management and organizational skills
• understanding of anatomy and ideal tooth morphology for full mouth restorations (high precision)
• Understanding of morphology & functional design in both anterior and posterior restoration essential for full arch/mouth cases
• Ability to inspect and work using a microscope
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work with small high-quality parts and recognize detail
