We are seeking an experienced Bodily Injury Case Manager to join our growing Chicago office. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through settlement or litigation and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position SummaryThe Bodily Injury Case Manager will manage a caseload of personal injury matters involving both pre-suit and litigation. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for clients while working closely with attorneys, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel to move cases efficiently toward resolution.
Candidates with Workers' Compensation experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as the ability to assist with or understand Workers' Compensation claims is highly valued.
Responsibilities- Manage a moderate to high-volume caseload of bodily injury matters.
- Handle plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through settlement or litigation.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the life of the case.
- Coordinate communications between clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, experts, and lien holders.
- Order, review, and organize medical records and billing documentation.
- Prepare and submit settlement demand packages.
- Monitor treatment progress and assist clients with scheduling and treatment coordination.
- Draft routine legal correspondence and litigation documents.
- Assist attorneys with litigation preparation, including discovery, deposition scheduling, mediation preparation, and trial support.
- Maintain accurate case notes and deadlines within the firm's case management system.
- Identify issues requiring attorney review and proactively escalate concerns.
- Provide exceptional client service while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Paralegal Certificate is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of plaintiff personal injury experience required.
- Experience handling both Pre-Suit and Litigation files required.
- Workers' Compensation experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of insurance claims, medical records, liens, and settlement negotiations.
- Experience with case management software (Smokeball experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing outstanding client service.

Schedule: This position is ON-SITE in our Chicago office, with no remote/ hybrid schedule. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts, 8:30am-5:30pm
