Job Description

Purpose of this Job
- The Staff Accountant’s primary role is to ensure the financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization and support strategic decision-making through accurate financial management.
Essential Duties
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage the company's budget, including forecasting future financial performance and identifying potential risks.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP or IFRS.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, addressing any findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and variance analysis.
- Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and managing company credit cards and banking relationships.
- Manage all aspects of tax planning and compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of VIP, MOPs, and incentive billback activities.
- Address supplier accounts payable inquiries, ensuring a positive and seamless experience.
- Oversee the management of Encompass dashboards, including the development and maintenance of new and existing report modules.
- Manage the reporting of incentive programs and monthly/quarterly bonuses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely
- Ability to handle pressure and stressful situations
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Results-oriented professional with strong verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion, as well as customer service skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial reporting and analysis.
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Compensation
- $60,000 - $70,000 / Year, paid Bi-Weekly
- Insurance and 401K Benefits
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems; strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
- Must be at least 21 years old
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Additional language skills an advantage
Physical Requirements
- Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of inventory as needed.
- Employee is occasionally required to drive, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Employee frequently is required to walk and sit.
