Job Description
Latin America is one of the world's most critical hubs for physical commodity flows, from energy and metals to agriculture. As Commercial Manager — Commodities & Financials, you will sit at the vital intersection where physical supply chains meet capital markets, establishing Kpler as the intelligence platform of choice across the region. Operating as a senior individual contributor in a newly created role with 100% new logos, you will expand our regional market footprint and help shape Kpler's go-to-market strategy as our São Paulo hub continues to scale.
Territory Execution: Formulate and execute a strategic territory plan across Latin America to map, prioritize, and secure new accounts across commodity corporates, trading houses, banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and exchanges.
Pipeline Generation: Drive rigorous outbound prospecting, network activation, and account mapping to build and maintain a strong pipeline of new logo opportunities.
Full Sales Cycle Management: Direct complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deal cycles from initial discovery and workflow-tailored demonstrations to business case formulation, legal execution, and procurement closure.
Multi-Thread Engagement: Establish executive relationships early in the deal process across trading, research, risk, compliance, operations, data science teams, and economic buyers.
Platform Positioning: Align Kpler’s comprehensive suite—including physical commodity trade flows, maritime and freight analytics, sanctions screening, and API data delivery—directly with client trading and risk workflows.
Market Leadership: Represent Kpler at key industry events across Latin American trade hubs, building strong brand authority with commercial and financial leaders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Market Analysts, Sales Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to deliver tailored pilots, seamless onboarding, and multi-product expansion.
What you'll need (Must-haves):
Demonstrated track record in full-cycle B2B enterprise sales within market intelligence, SaaS, financial terminals, pricing agencies, or alternative data.
Direct sales exposure to both physical commodity markets (energy, agriculture, metals, or chemicals) and financial institutions (banks, hedge funds, or asset managers).
Proven hunter track record of quota overachievement driven by self-sourced new logo acquisition rather than managing an inherited client book.
Business fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish to present, negotiate, and close complex deals across the region.
Nice-to-haves:
Background working with commodity data providers, market data vendors, financial terminals, or physical trading environments.
Familiarity with AIS vessel tracking, freight analytics, trade-flow data, or delivering data feeds via REST APIs to quant and data science teams.
Active executive network of heads of trading, research, and risk across key Latin American commercial hubs.
