About Us:
Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures and tests components for launch vehicles and ground support applications—providing many types of valves including throttling valves, ball valves, check and relief valves, vent and relief valves, pressure reducing, both manual and dome loaded, regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.
About the role:
The Information Assurance Project Manager leads the development and implementation of the organization's Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling and protection program within an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
This role serves as a change agent responsible for establishing the processes, governance, training, accountability systems, and cultural adoption necessary to protect sensitive customer and government information. The position will lead cross-functional efforts to develop organizational capability in information assurance, compliance, and cybersecurity while helping the company achieve and sustain compliance with applicable defense industry requirements.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with expertise in information protection, cybersecurity governance, regulatory compliance, and organizational change management. Success in this role will be measured not only by compliance outcomes, but by the establishment of durable business processes and organizational behaviors that support long-term compliance and risk reduction.
The role is a fully on-site role located in our Lincoln, CA offices and will report directly to the Business & Manufacturing Systems Manager.

What You’ll Do:
CUI Program Development
- Lead the design, implementation, and maturation of the company's Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) management program.Establish procedures for identification, marking, handling, storage, transmission, retention, and destruction of CUI.Create and maintain documentation necessary to demonstrate compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.Establish sustainable business processes that integrate CUI handling requirements into day-to-day operations.
Compliance Program Leadership
- Coordinate organizational efforts related to NIST 800-171, CMMC, DFARS cybersecurity requirements, and customer-specific security obligations.Lead gap assessments, remediation initiatives, and compliance readiness reviews.Develop implementation roadmaps and prioritize compliance initiatives based on risk and business impact.Track and report compliance status, corrective actions, and program maturity metrics.Coordinate internal and external assessment activities.
Organizational Change Management
- Drive cultural change by helping employees understand both compliance requirements and business rationale.Partner with leadership to establish expectations, reinforce desired behaviors, and remove barriers to compliance adoption.Facilitate difficult cross-functional conversations where security requirements affect established business practices.
Training & Workforce Development
- Develop and implement information assurance awareness programs.Design role-based training for personnel handling CUI.Build organizational understanding of information protection responsibilities.Identify capability gaps and recommend ongoing development strategies.Promote a culture of proactive risk management and secure information handling.
Risk and Governance
- Develop methods for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to CUI protection.Maintain compliance dashboards, maturity assessments, and executive reporting.Support incident response and corrective action efforts involving protected information.Establish continuous improvement mechanisms for the information assurance program.
What You’ll Need:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.5+ years of project management experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing.Experience supporting cybersecurity, information assurance, regulatory compliance, governance, or risk management programs.Experience implementing organizational process improvements or change initiatives.Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with CUI protection requirements.Working knowledge of:NIST SP 800-171CMMCDFARS cybersecurity requirementsNIST Cybersecurity FrameworkInformation governance and records management practicesPMP Certification.CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or similar credentials.Formal change management training or certification.
