About The Role
As Weekend Event Staff with Curate Group's Lumos Candlelit Experience, you will play a key frontline role in delivering smooth, well-executed events and an exceptional guest experience. Working primarily on Fridays and Saturdays as a 1099 contractor, you will support all aspects of event operations, from equipment load-in and setup through guest check-in, show support, and load-out. This role is ideal for reliable, detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working with people, are comfortable in fast-paced environments, and can represent the Lumos brand with professionalism and calm under pressure.
What You'll Do
- Support Friday and Saturday events as an on-site Event Assistant on a 1099 contractor basis
- Assist with load-in and load-out of show equipment, props, and event supplies
- Help set up the event space, including seating, signage, lighting, and ambience elements
- Assist with guest check-in, ticket verification, and welcoming attendees upon arrival
- Support guest seating, wayfinding, and general guest questions or needs throughout the event
- Liaise with musicians, performers, and venue staff to help coordinate timing and logistics
- Monitor the event environment to help maintain appropriate lighting, ambience, and overall presentation
- Respond to on-site issues or guest concerns with a calm, solutions-oriented approach
- Help ensure all event areas are kept organized, safe, and presentable before, during, and after the show
- Contribute to a smooth event breakdown, ensuring equipment and materials are properly packed and secured
- Represent Lumos with professionalism, clear communication, and excellent customer service at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service, or a related guest-facing role preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Consistent availability on Fridays and Saturdays, including evenings as required by event schedules
- Must have a car or reliable access to car sharing and be comfortable driving up to 2 hours to an event (travel contribution provided)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to adhere to event call times and schedules
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment up to 40 lbs as part of event setup and breakdown
- Comfort working on your feet for extended periods during events
- Ability to stay calm and resourceful when troubleshooting issues in a live-event environment
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to take direction from on-site leads and producers
- Authorized to work as a 1099 contractor in the event location and able to provide necessary documentation
The pay range for this role is:
25 - 30 USD per hour(USA - New Jersey)
