Job Summary:
The Family Team Conferencing Supervisor is responsible for supervising Family Team Conference Facilitators in accordance with the Administration for Children’s Services’ FTC Model. The supervisor ensures the timely scheduling and facilitation of all required conferences, oversees departmental requirements, and provides ongoing guidance and support to the agency’s facilitators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide direct supervision and coaching to a team of Family Team Conference facilitators and a case aide.
· Work with the unit case aide to ensure Family Team Conferences are scheduled for all foster care case-planning units in advance of the FASP due date.
· Ensure FTC invitations are mailed to families in a timely manner.
· Ensure the monthly FTC calendar is sent to all appropriate staff in advance.
· Ensure conferences are held in accordance with ACS regulations.
· Ensure the ACS legal team is invited to conferences in a timely manner.
· Monitor facilitators’ timely documentation in Connections, including, but not limited to, FTC invitations, summaries, action plans, progress notes, and Service Plan Review tabs.
· Utilize a tracking system to ensure all internal and external FTCs are scheduled, rescheduled, and held in a timely manner.
· Review and submit scheduler forms to ACS for conferences facilitated by ACS.
· Monitor the rescheduling of missed conferences.
· Facilitate FTCs as needed.
· Utilize a tracking system to ensure internal treatment team meetings are scheduled, rescheduled, and held in a timely manner.
· Facilitate treatment team meetings as needed.
· Facilitate internal high-risk meetings.
· Attend required ongoing training and monitor completion of required training by departmental staff.
· Attend leadership meetings.
· Participate in the foster care program’s on-call rotation.
· Perform other related duties as assigned within scope of position.
Requirements:Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and knowledge of Connections.
· Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to foster relationships among all stakeholders and work with families facing difficult circumstances.
· Strong leadership and group facilitation skills for working with families facing complex challenges and situations.
· Team player with strong planning, organizational, and follow-up skills.
· Knowledge of and skill in FTC group conferencing processes (FTC-trained).
· Demonstrated ability to lead diverse groups toward resolving differences.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Master’s degree in social work or a related field required.
· Two years of supervisory experience, preferably in foster care, with one year of group work experience is required.
· Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings.
· Our agency operates in two locations: Staten Island and Brooklyn. Travel between both sites is required.
