Orthodontic Assistant in Crown Point, Indiana at Puntillo and Crane Orthodontics PC

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting and seating patients
• Assist the orthodontist at the chair while they are engaged in patient care
• Ability to build good rapport with patients and staff
• Removal and placement of arch wires
• Tooth preparation prior to bonding
• Taking intraoral scans
• Computer charting
• Sterilization of chairs and instruments
• Oral hygiene instructions & explanation of completed procedures to the patient and parent

Qualifications

• Orthodontic chairside assisting experience
• Knowledge in dental terminology preferred
• Familiarity with dental software programs
• Certification in HIPAA compliance
• Experience in sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean environment
• Highly motivated individual wanting to make a positive difference in patients lives

Our offices are open Monday through Friday and full time position (4 days a week) is available. This position REQUIRES working at ALL of our 4 locations (Crown Point, Schererville, St.John, & Valparaiso) and able to work the day or evening shifts. Must be available on a rotational basis to handle minor patient comfort appointments, as needed, on a limited number of weekends per year.
