Boosting Worker in Reading, Pennsylvania at Yuasa Battery Inc

Are you looking for a third shift opportunity? Yuasa Battery is hiring boosting workers to accurately prepare and boost batteries for shipment. The position will require training in ArcFlash to ensure safety requirements are followed while working around electricity, using and reading volt meters, following operating standards and instructions, and contributing to the team efforts to accomplish daily tasks.

• Must be able to read and follow directions related to policies, production and safety expectations.

• Must be able to work the assigned schedule and work in a self-directed work group.

• Must be able to read a Bill of Materials and Operating Standards.

• Understanding of basic math skills

• Must be able to work independently at a fast pace.

• Should have good eye and hand coordination.

• Ability to pay attention to detail and identify discrepancies

• Must follow the environmental program and all safety rules.

• Must be consistently at work and on time.

• Must be able to work overtime on short notice.

• Able to work in a changing environment; must be able to promote suggestions to assist in the creation of an efficient workflow.

• Accountability for performance.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED

• Minimum 6 months experience working in manufacturing and/or distribution/warehouse

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 50#.

• Must be able to stand and walk constantly during the shift

• Must be able to wear Arc Flash rubber gloves constantly during the shift
