STAFF MENTOR at KidsPeace Childrens Hospital – Orefield, Pennsylvania

The Staff Mentor will primarily be an in-ratio position that provides support, coaching, and constructive feedback to the direct care staff in each house across their assigned center.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 1 year of highly related direct care experience.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Act as a preceptor for the direct care positions across the center.
2. Debrief with associates following a critical incident to provide support, guidance and constructive feedback.
3. Work closely with house/center leadership in providing observations and feedback to them.
4. Complete Program Integrity walkthroughs (first/second shift Mentors) and assist in Safety Checks across the center.
5. Work with the Program and Staff Development Specialist (PSDS) of each center to ensure practices across the center are consistent within KidsPeace Policy, Procedures and Training.
6. Facilitate and/or attend staff cohorts with support from the assigned Program and Staff Development Specialist to provide additional support and guidance to the learning process.
