Work Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri 6 am-2 pm

Job Summary

The Facilities Technician I supports the maintenance, safety, and operational reliability of Plaskolite’s physical plant and equipment. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, facility repairs, and general upkeep across a range of systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, and infrastructure. The technician ensures that all facilities meet safety standards and supports operational continuity, contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment aligned with Plaskolite’s values of integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality—reflecting Plaskolite’s core values of Integrity and Improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility systems and equipment (e.g., HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and minor electrical systems).
• Support plant safety and compliance by maintaining work areas to OSHA and company standards.
• Monitor building systems and environmental controls to ensure proper functioning.
• Assist with installation, relocation, and removal of equipment, office furniture, and other facility assets as needed.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance or repairs.
• Maintain records of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment performance logs.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
• Participate in emergency response, snow removal, and seasonal facility preparations.
• Collaborate with Operations, EHS, and other departments to support plant-wide initiatives, including safety audits, energy efficiency upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
• Follow all Plaskolite policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Operate floor scrubber and clean warehouse and production floors.
• Attention to cleaning plant restrooms, break areas, production areas, and offices.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals.
• 0-1 years of work experience
