Epidemiology Analyst in Honolulu, Hawaii at ATA Services, Inc.

The Adult Mental Health Division is seeking an Epidemiology Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral health and service-utilization data. This position will help inform policy, program planning, quality improvement, and public health surveillance efforts aimed at improving the mental health and well-being of adults in Hawaii.

• Location: Honolulu, Oahu, with telework permitted when operationally appropriate and approved
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, generally 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Pay: $51.52 per hour
• Assignment: Through June 30, 2027, dependent on funding, with the possibility of annual extensions

• Collect, clean, manage, and analyze data from health records, Medicaid claims, surveys, and public health systems.
• Identify trends, disparities, outcomes, and gaps in behavioral health services.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, fact sheets, presentations, projections, and needs assessments.
• Translate complex findings into clear recommendations for leadership and community partners.
• Maintain secure databases and comply with HIPAA and state confidentiality requirements.
• Support program evaluations, grant reporting, and federally required reporting.
• Collaborate with government agencies, healthcare partners, academic institutions, and community organizations.

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Psychology, Epidemiology, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in epidemiology, data analysis, or public health research.
• Experience with statistical software such as R, SAS, SPSS, or Stata.
• Experience with data-visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, and project-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
