PM Fulfillment Technician in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at Hallandale Pharmacy

JOB SUMMARY:

Fillers are responsible for processing orders (manifests) by organizing tasks based on date, color code, and priority using the assigned computer system. They scan barcodes to generate and print labels, then label and package products according to type and storage requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Management:

• Uses the assigned computer system to scan, track, and update each order in real time.
• Ensures that all labels correspond to the correct patient, medication type, and handling instructions.
• Maintains responsibility for the completeness and correctness of each individual order.
  
  

• Works closely with other departments to resolve missing items or special order requirements.
• Communicates inconsistencies or product-related problems to the supervising pharmacist or quality control.
• Ensures clear communication when transferring completed orders to the Runner or waiting for additional components (e.g., pills, custom items).
  
  

• Documents order progress and labeling through barcode scanning and system input.
• Ensures that the packaging and labeling reflect the exact contents and storage requirements.
• Strictly follows and documents steps according to Standard Operating Procedures and safety protocols.
  
  

• Organizes workflow based on color codes, dates, and priority levels.
• Maintains cleanliness and logical layout of supplies and products to support speed and accuracy.
• Understands production timelines and coordinates with others to keep the workflow continuous and free of delays

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician or applicable state license.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or logistics setting focused on order fulfillment.
• Preferred experience in compounding pharmacies or preparation of injectable products.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or move continuously throughout the shift.
• Manual dexterity to handle injectables, supplies, and packaging accurately.
• Ability to lift or move trays of products or supplies up to 11 kg (25 lbs).
• Good vision (with correction if necessary) to read barcodes, labels, and prescriptions.
• Constant use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and lab coats.
