SDMyers is looking for a Digital Media Creator to join our Marketing team and help bring our brand to life through video, photography, motion graphics, and digital media.

In this role, you’ll take projects from concept to finished product. You’ll be behind the camera, in the editing suite, on location, and collaborating with people across the organization to create content that educates our audience, builds trust, and strengthens the SDMyers brand.

🎥 Create Video Content
Own video projects from start to finish—including planning, filming, lighting, audio, camera setup, and production. Projects may include:

• Interview-style videos and podcasts
• Equipment and product videos
• Fieldwork and customer-site content
• How-to and instructional videos
• Social media and marketing content
• Event and trade show coverage

✂️ Edit & Produce
Turn raw footage into polished, engaging content for web, social media, marketing campaigns, events, and other channels.

📸 Capture Great Photography
Create and edit photography for digital, print, social media, trade shows, and other marketing needs. You’ll photograph everything from people and company culture to equipment, processes, and fieldwork.

🎨 Bring Ideas to Life
Create motion graphics, lower thirds, animated titles, intros/outros, logo animations, and simple explainer animations that make technical information easier to understand.

💻 Support Graphic Design
Provide graphic design support for digital media and broader marketing projects while maintaining SDMyers’ visual standards.

🗂️ Manage Media Assets
Keep footage, photography, project files, and finished media organized, archived, and easy to find and repurpose.

🎬 Manage the Studio
Help maintain the SDMyers studio and ensure equipment, inventory, scheduling, and production spaces are ready to go.

💡 Help Shape Content Strategy
Work with the Marketing Content Manager and Marketing team to develop content that connects with our audiences, supports campaigns, addresses customer needs, and reflects the SDMyers brand.

🤝 Collaborate Across the Organization
Work with subject-matter experts, internal teams, and external partners to capture the stories, expertise, and work that make SDMyers unique.

• Have hands-on experience with video production, photography, and editing

• Have experience with industry-standard video, motion graphics, photography, and design software
• Have a strong eye for composition, visual quality, sound, and detail
• Can confidently work with and direct people who are on camera
• Can manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing sight of the details
• Are comfortable working both in a studio and out in the field
• Are resourceful and able to solve production challenges as they arise

This position is primarily based in our office and studio environment, but the work isn’t limited to a desk.

You’ll occasionally travel to:

• Customer locations
• Field work sites
• Company events
• Trade shows
• Other locations where great stories are happening

Field assignments may involve outdoor environments, active work sites, varying noise levels, and changing conditions.

The role also involves setting up, carrying, and operating video equipment and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and climbing throughout the day. You may occasionally lift equipment or other objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
