Billy Bob’s Repair and Tire is a family-owned and operated diesel repair shop specializing in medium- and heavy-duty trucks, heavy equipment, and agricultural equipment. Located in the San Antonio area, our 15,000-square-foot facility is equipped with dealer-level diagnostic equipment, software, and modern tooling to help our technicians get the job done right the first time.

Position Responsibilities
The Diesel Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium- and heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment
Diagnose and repair air systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, suspension, drivability concerns, and drivetrain components
Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs
Properly document repairs and communicate needed parts and repairs with the parts and service departments
Order parts through the Parts Department in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Maintain a professional appearance and work ethic
Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management
Work effectively as part of a team
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 6 years of diesel technician experience, or a combination of schooling and hands-on experience
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Experience working on medium- and heavy-duty trucks and/or heavy equipment
Must have your own basic hand tools; larger and specialty tools are provided
Must be able to work independently as well as with a team
Must be able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
Must be able to lift approximately 50–75 lbs.
Must be willing and able to work outdoors for extended periods when needed
Must be willing to work in an in-person shop environment
