Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Security Specialist to become part of our award-winning team. The Security Specialist will patrol and secure the premises during off-hours and weekends as well as identify security and safety risks to our team. This is part-time position. Must be flexible to work a varying schedule including Saturdays 8am-8pm with extra hours available during holidays and cover shifts as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Control access onto the property.
- Conduct periodic foot patrols throughout the property.
- Monitor premises to prevent property damage and theft.
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
- Completes shift activity logs.
- Between patrol duties, work on additional tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- One to three years of experience in security, law enforcement, first responder, military or related field preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
- Must have and maintain a Florida Driver’s License.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a computer for short periods.
- Ability to move through the company’s buildings to inspect and detect safety concerns.
- Able to effectively communicate safety protocols.
