Who We’re Looking For:

The Inventory and Returns Administrator is responsible for all aspects of the warehouse functions including processing inbound material, cycle counting, and data entry while mainlining a safe work environment. This role will also be responsible for returning defective or non-stock material, processing credits to customers and returning product to vendors and filing freight claims for inbound and outbound shipments.

What you will be doing as a key player on our dynamic team:

  • Maintains and updates inventory records.
  • Performs inventory control, including cycle count, data entry, report generation and reconciliation.
  • Researches cycle count variances and accurately makes inventory adjustments.
  • Manages inventory of product stored in the warehouse; ensures inventory accuracy.
  • Researches user transactions and the impact made on inventory balances, resolves the issue and/or educates user.
  • Processes return sales order tickets for stock, non-stock and defective material.
  • Pulls material for returns & coordinates shipments with warehouse.
  • Maintains a Returns log to prioritize and track returns.
  • Works with the sales staff to schedule the return of material from jobsites and customer stock.
  • Maintains the Returns area of the warehouse and ensures it is clear and workable, as warehouse pulls items from shelves.
  • Manages email and keeps records of credits or dispositions.
  • Assists in sending SLOB (slow and obsolete inventory) to liquidators and recycles.
  • Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of working in a warehouse and/or distribution environment.
  • Experience working with inventory returns, preferred.

Core Competencies:

  • Understanding of the system processes for returns goods and inventory control.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Email and Excel, ERP transaction entry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
  • Strong process orientation and systems-thinking capability.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment where majority of the day is spent standing or walking
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills including ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Deadline driven and results-oriented.
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, e-mail, and telephone for effective communication.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lb. (or in excess of 25 lbs. on occasion).
  • Ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack, preferred.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
