Number of Positions: 2, substantial time comment as teaching assistant to 3 GIS courses in 26-27, plus ASAL work divided between 2 students may fit better in their studies.

Job Description
- The GIS ASAL assistant will conduct teaching assistant duties to support faculty in teaching Introduction to GIS and Advanced GIS classes 10 hr /week).
- Additionally, the graduate assistant will work on GIS projects contract by Antiochs Spatial Analysis Lab (ASAL).
- Projects my involve research of faculty, map making for local governments, trail maps and maps association with Natural Resource inventories (9 hr/wk).
- Graduate assistant manages GIS lab, plotter printing, monthly ASAL meetings as facilitator and note-taker, writes annual report (1 hr/wk).
Qualifications
- Proficient in basic GIS skills (eg map making, data collection) using ArcPro.
- Desired skills include knowledge of QGIS and drone use.
- Have the desire to teach and patience with GIS problem solving as well as novice learners.
