Exempt Status: Exempt

Location: Must be able to work at the Burnsville Location

Compensation: The expected salary/wage for this Minnesota-based position is between $65,000-90,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, and Retirement Benefits).

Basic Function

The Manufacturing Engineer- Electrical provides daily support of the manufacturing assembly operation for all hardware products and certain disposable test processes. With minimal supervisory oversight, this highly collaborative role will continuously develop, maintain and improve the manufacturing and test processes aimed at driving efficiency and quality. This position is responsible for complying with the Quality System requirements and carrying out responsibilities outlined in the environmental, health, and safety policies.

Responsibilities

· Authors clear and easy-to-follow manufacturing and test procedures.

· Drives continuous improvement projects to ensure all manufacturing and test processes are robust and optimized.

· Sources and implements equipment needed to support scale of manufacturing.

· Serves on cross-functional project teams for certain hardware products.

· Troubleshoots problems, identifies root cause, and drives corrective actions day to day.

· Develops and supports manufacturing and tests processes and equipment validations.

· Maintains positive and cooperative communication and collaboration cross functional.

· Keeps management informed of key developments and potential issues, ensuring timely communication and coordination of plans and activities to promote a collaborative and efficient team environment.

· Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

· 0-3 years’ experience in medical device or equipment manufacturing

· Must enjoy hands-on product exposure

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics

· Multi-tasking, problem solving and strong communication skills a must

· Familiarity with regulated environments.

· Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing.

Working Conditions

· Light work, exerting up to 20 lbs. of force or less.

· Requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less (near vision) and ability to identify/distinguish colors.

· Requires fingering, repetitive motion, talking, and hearing.

· 85% of the time requires viewing and working on a computer screen.

· Significant work pace & pressure due to deadlines.

· Ability to travel up to 5%.
