Summer Camp Facilities Associate in East Troy, Wisconsin at Timber-lee Ministries Inc

Spend your summer outdoors keeping 600 acres running. As a Facilities Associate, you'll support buildings and grounds maintenance, tackle projects across the property, and get hands-on with the work that makes everything else at camp possible.

• Support building and grounds maintenance staff
• Keep workshops clean and organized
• Help with material pickups and camper luggage
• Collect trash and recycling and maintain campus cleanliness
• Jump into special projects as assigned
• Bring a positive attitude and a high-quality work ethic
• Assist with camper arrival and departure on weekends
• Participate in camp activities planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, primarily after dinner hours
• Flex into other roles and temporary assignments as needed

• $7.25/hour + housing and meals included

• This is a live-in, residential role

What We're Looking For

• A professing Christian with a personal faith
• Interest and aptitude in mechanical or trades skills
• Familiar with and able to use hand tools
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to finish what you start
• Enjoys variety and doesn't mind getting dirty
• Willingness to be fully engaged in a live-in summer camp environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to handle moderately heavy work, including lifting up to 80 pounds
• Able to work outdoors in hot and humid conditions for extended periods
• Able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods

• Staff Training: June 1 – June 12
• Camp Sessions: June 13 – August 7

You'll spend the summer learning to use your hands and fix what's broken, and those skills stay with you for life whether you go into a trade or not. You'll also be part of why camp works at all. Nobody notices the trail that's clear or the cabin that's ready, but campers feel the difference. That's a summer worth having.
