Plan Manager - Health Account Solutions

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Plan Manager - Health Account Solutions based in United States.

This remote role serves as a key operational partner for employer clients and benefit programs across health account solutions. You’ll manage client relationships while ensuring accurate, responsive, and high-quality service delivery. The position spans HSAs, FSAs, HRAs, commuter and lifestyle benefits, COBRA, Direct Bill, and related consumer-directed health products. You’ll coordinate across operations, finance, compliance, technology, and vendor teams to resolve complex issues and implement changes. You’ll also identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, automation, and the overall client experience. With a strong focus on collaboration and problem-solving, you’ll help strengthen client satisfaction, retention, and operational efficiency.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned employer groups, brokers, consultants, and strategic partners, building trusted relationships through proactive communication and reliable service.

  • Oversee client needs and service delivery, coordinating the resolution of incidents, escalations, operational issues, and complex inquiries that affect employers or participants.

  • Partner with Operations, Claims, Eligibility, Premium Administration, Finance, Compliance, Technology, Vendor Management, and other internal teams to resolve issues and deliver against client expectations.

  • Coordinate implementations involving plan changes, product enhancements, regulatory requirements, and other operational updates.

  • Monitor operational performance and ensure client requests are completed accurately and within expected timelines.

  • Represent the client perspective in operational discussions, process-improvement initiatives, and cross-functional planning.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, automation, reporting, client-facing tools, and operating models while helping eliminate recurring pain points.

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives designed to improve scalability, quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.

  • Participate in client meetings and renewal discussions when appropriate, supporting broader client engagement efforts.

  • Help onboard and mentor new team members and contribute to standard operating procedures, training resources, and knowledge documentation.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance operations, client service, or a closely related environment.

  • Experience managing client relationships and resolving operational or service-related issues in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong customer service, communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across teams, and maintain attention to detail while working toward timely resolutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.

  • Knowledge or experience with Consumer-Driven Health Plans (CDHP) and/or COBRA is preferred.

  • Strong business judgment, learning agility, and a team-oriented approach.

  • Ability to understand operational processes and identify practical opportunities for improvement.

  • Salary: $56,220–$70,280 USD annual base salary, with potential incentive opportunities depending on the role.
