Accounting Clerk & Cash Specialist (SWAN) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries

General Responsibilities:

• Assists with payment of all vendors, contractors, and employee expense reimbursement, verifying, coding, and entering invoices to general ledger.
• Assists with check distribution.
• Assists with correspondence and resolution of issues with vendors, contractors, and employee expense reimbursement.
• Maintains daily cash worksheet.
• Monitors cash requirements for accounts payable.
• Prepares requests for advance of cash and repayment of advance monies as needed.

Education/Training: High school degree or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant certification is a plus.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience including journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation. Detail oriented, self-starter who can work independently. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel experience preferred.

ADA: Ability to bend, stoop, sit, reach and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
