Grounds & Facilities Maintenance Tech in Blairsville, Pennsylvania at Kencove Farm Fence, Inc.

We are seeking a dependable and self-motivated Grounds & Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of our buildings and property. This position is responsible for groundskeeping, building upkeep, seasonal maintenance, and minor facility repairs to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for employees and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Grounds Maintenance • Mow grass and maintain lawn areas. • Trim vegetation, remove weeds, and maintain landscaped areas. • Perform seasonal grounds cleanup. • Keep parking lots, walkways, and common areas clean and presentable. Snow and Ice Removal • Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, parking lots, and designated walkways. • Operate snow removal equipment and apply de-icing materials as needed. • Respond to weather events that may require early morning, evening, or weekend work. Building Maintenance • Perform interior and exterior painting and touch-up work. • Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and lighting fixtures. • Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance needs. • Repair and maintain doors, windows, locks, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other building components. • Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and facility improvement projects. General Repair Work • Perform minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting within established safety guidelines. • Complete basic plumbing repairs such as repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures. • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner. • Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required. * This position will also help in the Shipping Department when demands become high, during departments absences or during high sales seasons Safety and Compliance • Follow all company safety policies and procedures. • Report safety concerns and facility issues promptly. • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Qualifications Education & Experience • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field preferred. • Experience operating lawn care and snow removal equipment is desirable. Skills & Abilities • Basic knowledge of building maintenance practices. • Understanding of minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry repairs. • Ability to safely operate mowers, trimmers, snow removal equipment, and hand tools. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders frequently. • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
