  • THE OPPORTUNITY

    Gilmartin is looking for a Business Development Analyst to support our growing business. The person in this position will help to further develop and execute our business development activities as well as support ongoing processes.


    The Business Development Analyst will report directly to the Managing Director, Head of Business Development. In addition, attending pitch meetings, they will be responsible for maintaining our database of potential and pitched clients as well as determining new prospects. They will collaborate to develop additional sourcing networks then create outreach programs for potential new clients and relationship building. This will include, but not be limited to, staying abreast of healthcare industry trends, attending conferences, and creating constructs to cross reference venture investors, board of directors and existing clients to drive referral patterns. The expectation is for the person in this role to develop relationships with client team leaders throughout the firm as well as potential referral sources which strengthen over time.


    The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can move adeptly in a fast-paced environment with little oversight. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is highly organized, able to multi-task and a problem solver who is resourceful.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source outreach for new business opportunities through various meansAttend conferences, set-up and attend introductory meetings, follow-up activities
  • Track newsflow, financial, M&A, and industry trends across healthcare
  • Build and maintain relationships internally and externallyInternally – work with client team leads to support and expand existing efforts and relationship development; develop materials and case studies with Marketing
  • Maintain and update CRM tracking all business leads and prospectingProspective clients – assess investor relations objectives and needsReferral sources – investment banking, equity research, venture community, investors, etc
  • Work with client team leads and our Business Development Managing Directors to manage business development opportunities, follow up activities and ensure processes are moving forward
  • Materials development. Create and tailor pitch materials and proposals to address prospective client needs and customize Gilmartin approach. Capture notes to be included in client engagements and draft initial engagement letters
  • Work with Marketing Director to ensure marketing materials are accessible and used for business development purposes across the organization
  • Work with Marketing Director to originate, execute and help with planning on Gilmartin sponsored eventsCollect feedback from client team leads on desired materials on service offerings to support new client conversations; work with Marketing to develop collateral materials (i.e. IPO advisory projects, private placements, case studies, etc.)
