Partnerships Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Partnerships Manager based in Brazil.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional to lead strategic partnerships across the payments ecosystem in Latin America.
You will build and expand relationships with financial institutions, payment providers, and technology partners while driving business growth and market expansion.
The role combines partnership management, business development, commercial strategy, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced international environment.
Working closely with product, sales, customer success, and technical teams, you will help shape partner success and accelerate the adoption of innovative payment solutions.
Success in this position requires strong negotiation skills, deep payments industry knowledge, and the ability to identify and convert strategic opportunities into measurable business outcomes.

Accountabilities:

The Partnerships Manager will own and grow a portfolio of strategic partners, driving commercial success, ecosystem expansion, and long-term business relationships across the LATAM payments market.

  • Manage end-to-end relationships with strategic partners, including acquirers, banks, payment providers, alternative payment methods, and fraud solution vendors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring partner engagement, satisfaction, and continuous business growth.
  • Monitor partnership performance using key metrics such as integration progress, transaction volume, and partner satisfaction.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new partnership opportunities aligned with commercial and product strategies.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, partnership terms, and service-level agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Drive joint go-to-market initiatives, referral programs, co-marketing campaigns, and other revenue-generating activities.
  • Generate qualified business opportunities through strategic partner relationships and support commercial growth initiatives.
  • Identify and manage commercial opportunities within the banking ecosystem, leading partnership opportunities from prospecting through execution.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to prioritize partner requirements and support integration initiatives.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to maximize partner value in customer acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Provide market intelligence on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the LATAM payments landscape.
  • Lead partner onboarding, organize business reviews, and develop enablement materials to strengthen long-term collaboration.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and networking opportunities to expand the partner ecosystem.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced partnerships or business development professional with a strong commercial background and deep expertise in Brazil's payments industry.

  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or senior commercial roles within payments, fintech, or financial services.
  • Proven success managing strategic relationships with payment processors, acquirers, banks, alternative payment providers, or fraud prevention companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial agreements and engage effectively with senior executives and C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong track record of generating revenue through strategic partnerships, referral programs, or joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of the Brazilian payments ecosystem, including acquiring, Pix, payment methods, and relevant industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of payment infrastructure, acquiring, issuing, card schemes, and alternative payment methods.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize opportunities, and manage complex commercial initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience defining, monitoring, and reporting partnership performance metrics.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Customer Success teams.
  • Native or fluent Portuguese and professional English proficiency are required.
  • Spanish language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Based in Brazil, with preference for candidates located in São Paulo.
