  • Support compliance initiatives, including control testing and evidence collection related to HIPAA, SOC 2, and other security frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI technologies to improve security processes and scale network defense capabilities.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for security incidents outside standard business hours when necessary.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced cybersecurity professional with strong expertise in network security engineering, cloud environments, and automation. The role requires hands-on experience with Azure and Palo Alto technologies, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, network defense, or a related cybersecurity discipline.
  • Proven hands-on experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls, Panorama, Strata Cloud Manager, GlobalProtect, or Prisma Access.
  • Production experience with Azure networking and security services, including virtual networks, network security groups, and Azure Firewall.
  • Advanced understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, DNS, VPNs, firewall policies, and segmentation strategies.
  • Experience using AI coding tools to create automation workflows, scripts, playbooks, and orchestration solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks and recommendations clearly.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation.
  • Preferred experience with Palo Alto Networks or Microsoft Azure security certifications.
  • Experience working in healthcare, financial services, or another highly regulated industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework controls, and security monitoring practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with network security monitoring tools and technologies such as Strata Cloud Manager and Prisma Access is beneficial.
Benefits:
