Job Description

Risk Intelligence Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Risk Intelligence Associate based in India.

Join a global environment where risk intelligence plays a critical role in strengthening supply chain resilience and supporting informed business decisions. In this position, you will monitor emerging geopolitical, operational, environmental, and regulatory events that could disrupt suppliers, manufacturing operations, or customer shipments. You will transform information from multiple credible sources into clear, actionable intelligence that helps stakeholders understand potential exposure and respond effectively. Working closely with commodity managers and cross-functional teams, you will validate information, assess business impacts, and recommend appropriate actions. You will also maintain reliable documentation, track incidents from detection through resolution, and continuously improve reporting processes. This full-time, remote opportunity is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys connecting complex information to practical business outcomes in a fast-paced, globally connected supply chain environment.

Accountabilities
  • Risk Monitoring and Intelligence Gathering: Monitor multiple information sources, including official announcements, ports and carriers, weather updates, geopolitical developments, regulatory changes, internal tools, and other credible sources, to identify events that may affect supply chain operations.
  • Information Verification and Validation: Cross-check each identified event against at least two independent sources, reconcile discrepancies, document supporting evidence, and assign an appropriate confidence level to findings.
  • Supply Chain Exposure Assessment: Analyze potential business impacts by connecting incidents to supplier locations, supply chain tiers, commodities, parts, manufacturing facilities, and active customer shipments.
  • Incident Reporting and Recommendations: Produce concise, actionable incident reports that clearly communicate what happened, why it matters, the scope of potential exposure, recommended actions, confidence ratings, and planned follow-up updates.
  • Source Documentation and Traceability: Maintain accurate records of source links, timestamps, supporting notes, and relevant evidence, including screenshots or archived references when necessary.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with commodity managers and relevant stakeholders to validate facts, obtain approval for risk alerts, incorporate feedback, and ensure intelligence products are accurate and useful for business decisions.
  • Incident Publication and Change Management: Publish alerts through established processes, maintain version control, and document changes whenever new information requires an update to an existing report.
  • Incident Lifecycle Management: Track incidents from initial identification through monitoring, mitigation, and closure. Maintain an appropriate update cadence and identify related or follow-on events that could change the risk assessment.
  • Continuous Intelligence Improvement: Refine reports and intelligence products based on stakeholder feedback, improving their clarity, relevance, and practical value.
  • Post-Incident Reviews: Conduct brief reviews after significant incidents to document lessons learned, refine monitoring thresholds, and improve escalation procedures and response workflows.
Requirements
  • Education: A master's degree in Business, Economics, International Relations, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant Professional Experience: Three to five years of experience in risk analysis, market intelligence, supply chain risk monitoring, or a closely related field.
  • Risk Assessment Knowledge: Exposure to geopolitical risk, operational risk assessment, vendor risk management, or business continuity analysis is preferred.
  • Supply Chain Expertise: Strong understanding of global supply chain operations, manufacturing environments, procurement processes, and supplier ecosystems.
  • Risk Intelligence Frameworks: Familiarity with risk intelligence methodologies, ESG considerations, incident monitoring, and escalation workflows.
  • Analytical and Research Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to evaluate large datasets, interpret unstructured information, verify facts across multiple sources, and identify meaningful business implications.
  • Reporting and Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex risk scenarios into concise reports, clear recommendations, and stakeholder-ready presentations.
  • Data and Productivity Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant data analysis tools. Experience with visualization and intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar solutions is an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to information accuracy, source verification, documentation quality, and evidence traceability.
  • Decision Support and Business Acumen: Ability to assess the potential operational and commercial implications of emerging events and communicate findings that support timely, informed decisions.
  • Organization and Time Management: Ability to prioritize competing tasks, manage multiple incidents simultaneously, and deliver accurate intelligence under tight deadlines.
  • Collaboration and Initiative: A proactive, detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with commodity managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Benefits
  • Remote Work: Fully remote position based in India.
  • Full-Time Employment: Opportunity to contribute to an ongoing risk intelligence function supporting global supply chain operations.
  • Global Business Exposure: Work with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and risk-related information across international markets.
  • Professional Development: Build expertise in supply chain resilience, geopolitical and operational risk, market intelligence, and business continuity.
  • Analytical and Strategic Impact: Contribute directly to risk-informed decision-making and help stakeholders anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Gain experience working with commodity managers and other business stakeholders to translate intelligence into practical action.
  • Compensation: Salary and additional benefits were not specified in the original job description.
