Handyman
Location: Farmingdale, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time/On Site
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $25

Position Description
Oversees a maintenance team in several facilities, while being responsible for the day-to-day upkeep in the facilities. This team is responsible for facilities and maintenance to support the entire organization, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Demonstrate a commitment to the organization by maintaining regular, on-site attendance, act in a reliable manner and follow through on responsibilities.
• Profoundly hands-on approach
• Solution-oriented
• Complete all required training activities.
• Dedicated to ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Follows plans and instruction for short term and long-term projects.
• Knows basic electrical principles as they apply to AC-DC circuitry and hardware, relays, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Responds immediately to emergency calls for repairs which may include: Plumbing, roofing, electric, HVAC, welding, mechanical, tiles, flooring, drywall, plaster, masonry
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs for: Plumbing, roofing, electric, HVAC, welding, mechanical, tiles, flooring, drywall, plaster, masonry
• Addressing issues with HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning).
• Safely Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools and equipment such as power saws, power sanders, drills, air compressors, paint sprayers, and various hand tools required for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance projects.
• Repair and replace doors and windows when necessary.
• Performing minor landscaping tasks (mowing, trimming, plowing, shoveling, salting etc.).
• Assisting with the installation of new equipment or furniture.
• Suggests material for maintenance requests as needed.
• Show a desire and willingness to learn and succeed.
• Practical understanding of equipment used throughout the facility.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Time management.
• Experience with: Plumbing, Roofing, Electric, HVAC, Welding, Mechanical, Tiles, Flooring, Drywall, Plaster, Masonry
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Electrical Certification preferred
• Hands-on experience managing the packaging operations of an entrepreneurial dietary supplement manufacturing company is required.
• Knowledge and understanding of an ERP system.
