Overview

Under the supervision of the Director of Graduate Enrollment Operations the Assistant Director of Graduate Enrollment Operations is responsible for general graduate student recruitment and application processing at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. The Assistant Director is responsible for functions within graduate enrollment and admissions operations and will support the hiring and management of graduate student employees. This position will also be charged with the verification of certain application documents/materials and will counsel applicants and admitted students, when needed, to assist with the submission of correct and acceptable documents. Additionally, this role will be responsible for record creation in PeopleSoft and Slate, financial transaction updates relating to tuition deposit and application fee payments, scholarship review and updates, in addition other student record maintenance related to matriculation and deferral processing.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in a related area

Required Experience:
5+ years higher education administration, supervision, and admissions/enrollment management experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Experience:
5+ years proven leadership ability and skills, extensive experience in STEM higher education preferred. Experience working with international and domestics graduate students. Demonstrated experience in higher education, with experience in higher education student recruitment, admissions and/or marketing a plus. Experience planning events for enrollment management/admissions activities.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proven leadership ability and skills. Excellent and dynamic presentation skills. Excellent skills in problem solving, resolving complex admissions issues. Willingness to perform a wide range of tasks, and adapting administrative applications to systems of automated information management. Understanding of international markets for US-based STEM graduate education. Experience in using technology (e.g. PeopleSoft, Slate, enrollment management technology, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, web management, database management, etc.) to support recruitment and data management and professional presentations. Excellent writing skills and interpersonal communication. Ability and interest in marketing academic programs. Demonstrate proven leadership ability, creativity, flexibility and a keen willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented office.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
