Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our practice site. This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating administrative, front desk, clinical support staff, and, when applicable, medical providers to ensure efficient operations and exceptional patient care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative and customer-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations- Supervise clinical and non-clinical support staff within the practice site
- Coordinate daily office operations to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff while promoting teamwork and collaboration
- Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, clerical staff, management, and leadership teams
- Keep managing physicians, Practice Operations Manager, and leadership informed of significant operational issues
- Participate in identifying and resolving operational challenges
- Assume project management responsibilities for assigned initiatives as needed
- Provide coverage for critical office functions and temporary staffing vacancies when necessary
- Hire, train, evaluate, and mentor practice staff
- Develop, maintain, and educate employees on office policies and procedures
- Plan staff schedules and assign duties appropriately
- Monitor staff performance to ensure timely completion of assignments and quality customer service
- Rearrange priorities and workflows to meet changing practice needs
- Maintain competency in EMR and billing systems
- Process monthly reports, time and attendance records, physician billing, and volume logs accurately and promptly
- Maintain office organization and professional appearance
- Order and monitor office supply inventory
- Utilize practice data and reporting tools to support providers and operational goals
- 3–5 years of relevant healthcare or outpatient practice experience
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership abilities in an outpatient services environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Experience with EMR systems and medical billing processes
- Strong problem-solving and team leadership abilities
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and patient care
