Director - Facilities in Hannibal, Missouri at Hannibal Regional Hospital

The Director of Facilities is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of all facility management functions across the healthcare organization. This position oversees maintenance operations, utilities management, life safety systems, construction and renovation activities, grounds management, and environmental infrastructure to ensure a safe, reliable, and compliant environment that supports patient care, staff operations, and organizational objectives.

The Director of Facilities provides leadership for facility operations in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. The role serves as a key contributor to Environment of Care, Emergency Management, and Life Safety programs while promoting operational reliability, risk reduction, fiscal responsibility, and team accountability. This position also serves on the Environment of Care Committee.

• Bachelors degree preferred
• Minimum of 5-10 years facilities/operational experience required
• Must have minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in healthcare setting
• Ability to develop and control operations financial plans
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to manage a multi-disciplined workforce
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards, building systems, maintenance operations, and life safety requirements required.
• Working knowledge of applicable government codes
• Ability to organize and direct all phases of construction, corrective repairs and proactive maintenance
• Ability to develop departmental strategies and lead others in a contemporary manner
• Ability to manage, organize and maintain all required documents and records
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and construction trades
• Must be able to teach and delegate necessary skills required to others
• Willingness to delegate authority to others
• Able to communicate effectively orally, in writing and participate in organization performance teams
• Will have an understanding of exceptional and ethical business practices
