Job Description
Sinai Hospital is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our Surgical Team. You will act as a primary care coordinator for surgeons, referring physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

Patient Assessments: Screen patients, conduct complete histories, and perform physical examinations to assess their health status and determine appropriate treatment plans.

Diagnostic and Treatment Orders: Order/prescribe necessary medications, laboratory tests, radiologic studies, routine fluids, diets, and other patient care orders.

Surgical Assistance: Serve as a surgical assistant, including handling tissue, providing exposure, using surgical instruments, suturing, tying, and achieving hemostasis during procedures.

Trauma Resuscitation: Respond to trauma cases in the Emergency Room to manage and/or assist with resuscitations, ensuring timely and appropriate care.

Patient Education: Provide thorough discharge instructions to patients, including home care of wounds, medication management, dietary guidance, and other health care aspects.

Staff and Patient Education: Develop and distribute patient education materials in line with current clinical practice guidelines. Create and deliver educational programs for house staff, nursing and medical students, community agencies, and other relevant groups.
Qualifications

Current Maryland Physician Assistant or CRNP or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner License.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Certifications: DEA Controlled Substance Registration, Controlled Dangerous Substances License (or eligibility to obtain)
