Human Resources Coordinator

Diversity is seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support our growing team of professionals serving individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This full-time opportunity is in the Chesterfield/Richmond area.
What You’ll Do
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and orientation for new employees
• Assist with recruitment for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Nurses, and Supervisors
• Maintain employee records and HR compliance documentation
• Track training, certifications, and background checks
• Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
• Targeted recruitment, screen and schedule interviews and organize career fairs
• Help ensure compliance with Virginia DBHDS and Medicaid staffing requirements
• Manage HR communication and employee support
• Collaborate with leadership to build a positive workplace culture
Preferred Qualifications
• 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources, Healthcare, Social Services, or IDD services preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills (bilingual proficiency preferred).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with targeted recruiting and onboarding, in a residential setting preferred
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital HR systems
• Knowledge of DBHDS or Medicaid waiver services is a plus
