Registered Nurse PACU
Location: Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune and Branch Clinics
Duty Hours: Monday through Friday between the hours of 0645 to 2300. The HCWs shall be scheduled for an 8.5-hour shift including an uncompensated 30-minute meal break.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing from an ACEN/CCNE–accredited program (or State Board–approved equivalent)
Minimum 1 year of full-time experience within the past 3 years as a Perioperative RN in a Main Operating Room
Current ACLS and PALS certifications
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care, including patient assessment, triage, monitoring, treatment, documentation, and patient education
Execute physician orders in accordance with standard nursing practice
Develop, implement, and evaluate goal-directed plans of care based on patient needs and available resources
Maintain a safe, clean, and properly stocked patient care environment
Provide discharge instructions and emotional support to patients and families
Collaborate with and provide guidance to LPNs/LVNs, nursing assistants, and ancillary staff
May be assigned to a multi-service ward during normal shift hours
Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:45AM-11PM. Scheduled for an 8.5-hour shift including an uncompensated 30-minute meal break.
Monday - Friday 40 hours a week between the hours 6:45AM -11:00PM
