Job Description
New Hanover County Health and Human Services is seeking a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Professional to join our School Mental Health Program, supporting the emotional well-being and success of students across the county
As a Licensed Clinical Therapist, you will be assigned to New Hanover County schools to provide comprehensive therapeutic services to students in a supportive, school-based setting. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive clinical assessments; completing initial intake evaluations; developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans; identifying client needs and connecting students and families to appropriate community resources; providing individual, group, and family therapy; maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation; submitting billing information for reimbursement; and preparing written reports as required.

Hours:
Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Must be available to work during emergency situations.
Salary Information:
The hiring range for this position begins at $56,351. Salary will be determined based on qualifications, internal equity, budget, and market considerations.

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, and experience and education sufficient to obtain one of the required licenses.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- OR Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
- OR Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)
Out-of-state candidates that hold a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license may be considered for hire but must apply to the LCMHC NC board to obtain an LCMHC license before being hired.
Provisionally licensed candidates may be considered. Priority consideration will be given to candidates with full licensure.
Must have excellent communication and decision making skills, and be able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Requires one of the following licensures with the ability to practice in North Carolina:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC).
Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina.
