Afternoon Caregiver in Palm Coast, Florida at Community Resource Network of Florida INC

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

The individual is a 19-year-old female in need of a caregiver to support with community outings and recreational activities. She enjoys visiting the mall, dining out, going to the park. The caregiver will be helping promote social interaction and engagement while in the community.

Schedule: 3 weekdays afternoons 4:00-7:00 p.m. Flexible on the days of the week. Would like one of the days to be Thursday to accompany bowling.

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks
• Ensuring individual's safety while in the community
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Are 18 years of age or older
