Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

We are seeking a kind and reliable caregiver to support two brothers after school who benefit from companionship, supervision, and assistance with daily activities. One of the individuals requires higher physical support due to mobility limitations, while the other benefits from supervision, engagement, and help staying active. They enjoy music, games, animals, and spending time at home. The caregiver will help keep them engaged, safe, and supported during the afternoon and early evening hours.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 2:30pm-8:30pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm with additional hours during school holidays.

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks
• Meal preparation and light cleaning
• Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Are 18 years of age or older
