Maintenance Lead Hand – Squamish, BC

Full-Time | Seasonal | $28–$30/hour

As a Maintenance Lead Hand, you’ll support the Maintenance Supervisor in the field while helping lead your crew to deliver safe, high-quality work — season after season.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Maintenance Supervisor with daily field operations
• Perform full-service maintenance: mowing, trimming, edging, hedge trimming, weeding, blowing
• Assist with occasional softscape installs
• Support winter services including snow removal and salt application
• Inspect and maintain equipment; report deficiencies
• Participate in safety meetings and wear required PPE
• Represent Horizon professionally and deliver exceptional customer service

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 2 years of landscape industry experience (or equivalent education)
• Experience operating landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers)
• Knowledge of local plant life
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Team-oriented mindset with natural leadership qualities
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work

Horticulture education and industry certifications (Red Seal, CLT, Pesticide License) are assets.

Compensation & Benefits

• $28–$30/hour based on experience
• Vacation pay paid out each cheque
