Veterinary Technician, Emergency - CVT/LVT/RVT | $27–$34/hr
Location: Lebanon, NH
Schedule: Per Diem | ER or Urgent Care experience required
Compensation: $27–$34/hour + Shift Differentials

At Small Animal Veterinary Emergency Services (SAVES), you’re not just supporting care—you’re leading it. As one of the only 24/7 emergency hospitals in northern New Hampshire, every shift puts you at the center of life-saving medicine, complex cases, and moments that truly matter.

You are the calm in the chaos, the advocate for patients who can’t speak, and the reason families get more time with the animals who mean everything to them.

Compensation

  • $27–$34/hour (based on skills assessment)
  • $4.50/hour overnight differential (7p–7a)
  • $4/hour weekend differential (Saturday 12a – Sunday 11:59p)
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus
Working Saturday overnights? That’s an extra $100!

Schedule
  • Per Diem
Applicants for this per diem position must have prior experience as an ER or Urgent Care veterinary technician.
Responsibilities
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:
  • Triage incoming emergency patients and support clients through stressful situations with compassion and professionalism

  • Utilize advanced imaging to support patient assessment and treatment planning
  • Execute, monitor, and recover anesthesia and sedation events
  • Advocate for hospitalized patients throughout every stage of care
  • Use critical thinking skills to support high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced ER/CC environment
  • Collaborate with doctors and Veterinary Technicians as a trusted partner in patient care
Qualifications
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) required
  • Emergency, Critical Care, or high-acuity veterinary experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills and commitment to advancing veterinary nursing care
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency animal hospital environment
  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills with clients and hospital team members
