About the Role:

The Assistant Studio Manager is the backbone of the studio, ensuring seamless operations and strict accountability across all areas of the business. They manage multiple platforms to stay organized and efficient, with a core focus on scheduling staff to meet business needs, conducting weekly inventory counts, processing monthly purchase orders, and maintaining rigorous oversight of retail and dry goods. In this role, the Assistant Manager spends time at the front desk, engaging with clients and modeling service excellence. They also conduct bi-weekly touchbases with direct reports, reviewing scorecards, attendance, and overall performance. By managing key operational responsibilities, the Assistant Manager allows the Studio Manager to dedicate their time to leading client experience and field marketing efforts. They ensure the studio runs smoothly behind the scenes, so the Studio Manager can focus on driving growth and hospitality at the front of the business. This role requires someone who thrives on structure, precision, and follow-through. Individuals who are not detail-oriented, task-driven, and committed to accountability will not succeed in this position.


A Peek Into Your Day (but not limited to):

Work every Tuesday AM shift to conduct a weekly cycle count

Create the schedule quarterly but manage request offs and unassigned shifts to protect the business

Daily schedule audit for optimization

Work at the front desk for a minimum of three (3) full shift a week

Manage email, phones, text with support of Studio Guides

Sell memberships

Clean the studio

Laundry and towel mgmt

Monthly in-studio facilities (ops) audit

Manage facilities tickets in platform

Be a systems expert

Develop yourself to be the future studio manager

Lead and develop the careers of a studio team, consisting of Studio Guides; being the direct line manager for the Studio Guide Team

Function as Manager on Duty when Studio Manager is out of studio and providing coverage as needed

Who We’re Looking For:

1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality (restaurant, retail, hotel, salon/spa, or similar) with a proven track record of delivering superior customer service.

Passion for hospitality and people leadership, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Experience with inventory management, scheduling, and administrative tasks to support smooth studio operations.

Strong customer experience focus, ensuring every client interaction reflects Glowbar’s standards.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and early morning/midday/late evening weekday shifts.

Forward-thinking problem solver who leads with empathy and professionalism.

Enthusiasm for beauty, skincare, and continuous growth in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Bonus Glow if you bring:

Knowledge of salon/spa operations, standards, and compliance procedures is a plus.

Working Conditions:
At Glowbar, our studios are active, client-focused environments — and we want you to know what’s involved behind the scenes. Here’s what you can expect physically in this role:

Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the entire shift

Bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting (up to 15 pounds) — including merchandise, laundry, and back-of-house supplies

Climbing up and down stairs during shift operations

Remaining mobile and on your feet for the full duration of your shift (shift lengths may vary)

Exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels, particularly in laundry or supply areas

Performing operational tasks such as restocking, organizing supplies, and light cleaning

Required to work weekends, evenings and holiday to support our client demand
