Security Officer at Citizens Memorial – Bolivar, Missouri

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Public Safety Officer to join our team in the Public Safety Department! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the Department: Safety and Security strives to reduce the risk of hazardous exposure to employees, patients, residents, clients, visitors, and others in the delivery or receipt of healthcare services; to promote and establish the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program management principles; to develop and provide safety management training for the environment of care; to coordinate services for our injured employees’ healthcare needs and facilitate their return to work.

A typical day will include: Observing, investigating, and reporting incidents; checking doors at all facilities which should be secure; observing maintenance alarms; reporting alarms to maintenance personnel present or on-call; constantly checking inside and outside property for safety hazards; reporting to the Director of Safety and Security or Security Supervisor for appropriate action.

• Patrolling inside and outside buildings to ensure that no one is loitering.
• Conducting, documenting, and evaluating safety drills as requested and scheduled by the Director of Security, Security Supervisor, and Risk Management Coordinator.
• Maintaining an activity log, daily reports, security incident reports, lost and found reports, and other documentation as required.

Job Requirements:

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required unless extensive successful experience is demonstrated
• License: Current Missouri driver’s license required
• Experience: Minimum age of 21 years required; 3 – 5 years experience in law enforcement or performing security duties
• Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

The position is: Part-time weekends, working up to 40 hours per pay period
