About This Position

Job Profile Summary
The Senior Consultant provides experienced consulting leadership on the firm’s most complex, high-risk, and high-visibility projects. This role
is focused on building client relationships, contributing to strategic decisions, shaping outcomes, managing an individual business unit,
mentoring production teams, or owning day-to-day execution.
Senior Consultants are leveraged where project complexity, risk, visibility, or client expectations exceed what standard project structures are
designed to handle. They operate as senior advisors to clients and internal teams, particularly at key inflection points, during periods of
uncertainty, or when projects require experienced intervention to remain on track.
Senior Consultants partner closely with the Managing Partner, Mission Critical and other Market Sector Consultants to ensure alignment
between client strategy, delivery execution, and firm standards.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Leadership & Escalation
  • Provide senior consulting leadership on mid-sized , high-risk projects, applying deep experience to guide how work is
  • planned, sequenced, and delivered.
  • Translate client priorities, constraints, and risk tolerance into clear direction for project teams
  • Advise project and operational leaders on critical decisions related to scope, schedule, entitlement strategy, permitting
  • approach, coordination, and risk management
  • Identify and support escalation and decision-making when projects face ambiguity, misalignment, or elevated risk
  • Intervene at the right moments to correct course, resolve and navigate through ambiguity, or unblock progress, engaging in
  • project management responsibilities as needed
  • Monitor and manage financial results of assigned projects and/or accounts.
Plan Quality & Technical Oversight
  • In collaboration with Chief Engineers, provide technical oversight and review as needed to ensure quality and alignment with
  • firm standards on complex work
  • Support early project framing, including feasibility, risk assessment, and contract considerations
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads and Production Leads to ensure design intent, client standards, and delivery expectations
  • remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle
Resource & Risk Management
  • Partners with Managing Partner, Mission Critical to ensure adequate allocation of resources, including operational needs
  • beyond project delivery
  • Collaborate with the Managing Partner, Mission Critical, Market Sector Directors, and other Market Sector Consultants to
  • identify risks related to delivery, staffing, technical complexity, and client exposure
Client Experience & Relationship Growth
  • Serve as a primary client contact for mid-sized, high risk projects, reinforcing Bohler’s role as a trusted advisor
  • Contribute to mission critical business development efforts by supporting pursuits, client conversations, and long-term
  • relationship building where senior expertise adds value.
  • Share lessons learned and patterns observed across projects to help improve consistency, decision-making, and delivery
  • approaches across strategic market sectors or clients
Culture & Leadership
  • Model Bohler’s Core Operating Principles and set the tone for leadership within high-opportunity market sectors, such as

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to production and technical teams supporting mission critical projects

  • across complex engagements

Education:
  • Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related fields. Degree requirements may be
  • substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Work Experience:
  • 8+ years of commercial, industrial, and/or residential site design and jurisdictional permitting experience

Skills:
  • Senior project management experience within civil engineering, land development, or a closely related professional services
  • environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading or advising on mid-sized, high-risk, or high-visibility projects, where sound judgment and
  • strategic decision-making were critical to success, preferably within the Mission Critical and/or data center market
  • Strong understanding of entitlement strategy, jurisdictional permitting, phased delivery, and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proven ability to guide project teams and clients through ambiguity, changing conditions, or elevated risk
  • Track record of effective client engagement
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and regulatory issues into clear, actionable direction for
  • both clients and internal teams
