About This Position
We are seeking a high-energy, dynamicBusiness Development Executive to focus on growth in the government and psychiatry divisions. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities through direct sales and the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. You will build relationships with executives and decision makers within government agencies and healthcare organizations nationwide, including facilities specializing in behavioral health and psychiatry.
This is a critical, high-visibility position that requires strategic insight, strong relationship-building skills, and an ability to present customized solutions aligned with client needs.
In this role, you will:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across government entities and psychiatric healthcare organizations
- Maintain and deepen relationships with procurement officers, C-suite executives and key decision makers to maximize account penetration and increase revenue generated per account
- Support RFP strategy, proposal development, and bid submissions
- Conduct strategic and substantive content discussions with healthcare and government stakeholders
- Manage and grow a pipeline that supports new client partnerships and long-term relationships
- Design and present customized solutions that align with client needs and current government or psychiatry market challenges
- Drive the sales cycle with urgency, ensuring client expectations are met while achieving targeted revenue goals and acceptable business unit margins
- Develop expertise in government contracting processes, psychiatry market dynamics, regulations, and regional considerations
- Collaborate with Account Management to support expansion and retention across divisions and product lines
- Partner with Marketing to elevate brand visibility through government and regional associations
- Maintain diligent documentation within Bullhorn (CRM) and utilize multi-channel outreach and engagement strategies
Here's what we look for:
- At least 2 years of successful sales, prospecting and new business development experience
- Must be adept at closing new business deals with significant revenue goals
- Must have a successful track record with complex sales in a performance-based environment.
- Persuasive presenter with demonstrated talent in establishing relationships over the phone and in person.
- Successful background in developing sales strategies with senior level counterparts
- Build and maintain effective client and team relationships
- Ability to travel approximately 15-20%
- Previous military or government work history
- Experience working with or selling to government agencies or healthcare organizations
- Familiarity with the RFP process, government contracting, or behavioral health service lines
