Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for numbers? Fairway Corporation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team on a contract basis. In this role, you will support the accounting department by processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist, AP Clerk, or Accounting Assistant who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining organized financial records, and supporting a collaborative finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
• Review and reconcile invoices, resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
• Prepare, print, and issue vendor payments while maintaining accurate AP documentation
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status and account details
• Manage incoming paper mail related to accounts payable and distribute appropriately
• Print and mail vendor checks and maintain organized payment records
• Assist the accounting team with general accounts payable support and administrative tasks

• Prior experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, AP Clerk, or Accounting Assistant preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP system experience is a plus)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
• High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred)
