Are you looking to launch your career in the finance industry? We have an exciting opportunity for you! United Bay Community Credit Union currently has openings for part time Member Service Specialists at our Bay City branches. (Euclid branch or Lincoln St. branch)

The Ideal candidate will have prior financial Institution experience, including basic and complex teller transactions, member account service and lending experience. We will also accept someone who wants to start a financial services career. We are looking for an energetic, positive, service minded individual who will enjoy establishing lasting relationships with the community.

Member Services Specialists will work the frontline at the branch, offering our products and services to members, in addition to providing great service. You will learn relationship based sales techniques, be involved in community volunteering and contribute to a positive and rewarding culture.

The MSS role is:

Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash advances. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash and check totals. Performs specific assigned side-jobs and assists other Tellers with a variety of duties as required.Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing applications for consumer, credit card, and overdraft account loans. Meets with applicants to explain credit policies and to obtain additional loan information and documentation. Assembles and evaluates loan applications and approves those that meet initial lending criteria and are within approved lending limits. Presents loan requests above lending limit for approval as per loan policy. Responsible for performing a broad variety of member services such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificate accounts, and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account problems. Answers member questions regarding Credit Union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance.
