About This Position

Product DesignerAbout Blitzy

Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based AI software development platform on a mission to revolutionize the software development life cycle by autonomously building custom software to unlock the next industrial revolution. We're transforming how enterprises build software, turning enterprise requirements into production-ready code with an agentic software development platform that can autonomously execute 80% of the quantum of software development work. We're backed by multiple tier 1 investors, and have proven success as founders of previous start-ups.

Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000

Location: 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge MA

The Role

We're looking for a Product Designer (1-5 years experience) who obsesses over craft and cares deeply about how things work, not just how they look. You'll work on the core Blitzy product—an AI software development platform that uses thousands of autonomous agents to build enterprise software in days, not months.

You'll partner directly with our founding designer, receiving hands-on guidance while being encouraged to show agency and bring your own perspective to problems.

What You'll Contribute ToCore Product Design
  • Design features, flows, and interfaces for Blitzy's AI code generation platform
  • Translate product requirements and concepts into wireframes, detailed UI designs, and interaction specifications
  • Work through edge cases, error states, and the full spectrum of user scenarios
  • Contribute components and patterns to Blitzy's evolving design system
Design Execution
  • Produce high-fidelity UI designs in Figma with attention to visual polish and interaction detail
  • Create clear, engineer-ready design specs and handoff documentation
  • Iterate based on feedback
  • Maintain consistency across product surfaces and document design decisions
What You BringRequired
  • 1-5 years professional product design experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating depth of thinking through case studies, not just final visuals (Must Have to Apply)
  • Rigorous interaction design skills. You think through flows, states, and edge cases systematically
  • Strong visual/UI craft—typography, spacing, hierarchy, consistency
  • Expert Figma proficiency (components, variants, auto-layout)
  • Familiarity with LLMs and generative AI tools
  • Attention to detail. You notice what others overlook
  • Ability to work at speed without sacrificing quality
  • Some time overlap required for collaboration and handoffs with US-based teams
Preferred
  • Degree in Design, HCI, or related fields (a strong portfolio trumps credentials)
  • Exposure to AI/ML products or developer tools
