We offer hands-on help to address chronic homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, disability, and systematic poverty by offering innovative solutions and proactive services to the most vulnerable in Schenectady County. We provide integrated primary care and behavioral health treatment programs and assist with providing access to financial and educational resources where applicable.
The Residential Operations Manager oversees daily operations of the agency’s residential housing programs, ensuring safe, supportive, and well-managed living environments for residents. This role serves as a key connection between residents, frontline staff, and leadership while promoting stability, safety, and program compliance.
The Manager supervises Building Monitors at 917 State St. and Front Desk/Security staff at 834 State St., while also providing direct case management support to residents. This position participates in the agency’s on-call rotation.
This is an onsite, full-time (40 hr/week), exempt position

Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise Building Monitor and Front Desk/Security staff.
- Oversee daily residential operations and ensure adherence to agency and residential policies.
- Maintain an assigned resident caseload, conducting regular meetings to support Service Agreements and housing goals.
- Provide crisis intervention, case management, advocacy, and supportive services.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and help resolve concerns or conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and grant requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation in HMIS and support program reporting.
- Ensure resident files are complete and confidentiality is maintained.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in homelessness services or a related human services field.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
- Strong communication, documentation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency with computers and data systems.
- Valid NYS driver’s license with ability to meet agency insurability requirements.
- Must be able to provide reliable transportation to/from work location.
- Ability to work full-time during normal business hours, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
