Position Overview
The Bartender plays a key role in enhancing The Medallion Club experience by preparing and serving beverages with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. This position supports all club dining venues and events, ensuring a polished and member‑focused environment. The ideal candidate is service‑driven, knowledgeable about beverage preparation, and committed to upholding club standards while delivering exceptional hospitality.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards approved by the Beverage Manager.
- Provide warm, attentive service to members and guests while maintaining a professional and welcoming bar atmosphere.
- Stay updated on current menu offerings, specials, and any menu deviations; communicate with the culinary team regarding item availability.
- Maintain a proper dining and bar experience by delivering items promptly, anticipating guest needs, offering desserts and additional beverages, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
- Properly open and pour wine tableside in accordance with club standards.
- Issue checks and process beverage transactions accurately through the POS system.
- Monitor and maintain daily inventory of liquor, beer, wine, and tobacco products; restock items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, and surrounding service areas.
- Polish glassware, clean equipment, and ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed.
- Support club events and collaborate with fellow team members to deliver a seamless, high‑quality service experience.
- Demonstrate a commitment to service, teamwork, and upholding club standards.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and common cocktails.
- Alcohol Server Certification required.
- Warm, professional demeanor with a passion for exceeding member expectations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently during high‑volume periods.
- Commitment to hospitality, safety, and excellence in a member‑focused environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. overhead.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Regular use of POS systems, computers, calculators, and credit card machines.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with high guest volume.

- Work may take place in indoor or outdoor bar settings depending on the venue.
- Schedule may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs.
