Project Engineer

We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead technical teams and coordinate engineering activities for the design, development, and implementation of new products and manufacturing processes. This role provides technical guidance to program management and operations, ensuring designs meet customer specifications and are manufacturable. You will support acceptance and qualification testing, troubleshoot issues, and participate in configuration control and change management activities. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects that drive innovation and operational excellence.

• • Lead technical teams for new product design and manufacturing
  • Ensure designs meet customer specs and are manufacturable
  • Create documentation, test procedures, and BOMs
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and change control
  • Provide technical guidance and financial updates
  • Manage vendors and assist with business development
  • Drive process improvements for efficiency and quality

• • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years experience (or 5+ with Master’s)
  • Strong knowledge of optical/mechanical manufacturing
  • Proficiency with CAD software
• 
  

• • Experience with optical design tools (Zemax, CODE V, OSLO)
  • Knowledge of clean room protocols
  • SolidWorks proficiency
  • Vendor/supplier management experience
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality standards
  • Advanced optical metrology and alignment skills

For California, the base salary range for this role is $114,540.00 - $190,164.00
